Hosehill Lake Nature Reserve is a 58-acre site in Theale, West Berkshire, offering a flat, 1-mile circular walk around a picturesque lake. It is celebrated for its diverse wildlife, including seasonal Exmoor ponies, a butterfly meadow, and over 160 bird species, making it a popular spot for birdwatchers and local hikers.
Parking for Hosehill Lake is primarily available at the Fox and Hounds pub car park (Station Road, Theale, RG7 4BE), located immediately across the road from the nature reserve. You may park here with their permission, and patrons have access to pub facilities.
Alternatively, you can park for free at the Sheffield Bottom Lock picnic area car park (RG7 4AJ), which is a short walk from the lake via the canal path.
